Budholes exists to make a round funnier, not to make it expensive. Here's exactly what we do, what we don't, and how to keep the side games where they belong — in the group chat afterward.
Every side game in Budholes is scored in points. Longest Drive is worth 10 points. What a point is worth — a beer, a dollar, nothing at all — is something your group decides offline. We don't set it, don't convert it, and don't know it.
Plenty of squads never attach money to any of it. Every game runs perfectly well on bragging rights alone, and settle-up simply never appears.
When a round ends we add up the points and show who owes who. If you choose to square it, we hand off to your own payment app with the amount prefilled — you confirm and send it yourself, friend to friend. Budholes is never in the middle of it, which also means we can't reverse it. Only play for something you'd be happy to hand over in person.
Money settle-up is for adults — you must be 18 or older to use it. Budholes isn't a gambling service and isn't licensed as one; if wagering among friends isn't legal where you are, use the app for points only.
If betting is causing you or someone you play with real trouble — money you can't afford, hiding it from people, chasing losses — please talk to someone who can actually help:
You can also just turn it off: play every side game for points, or skip them entirely. The scorecard works fine without a nickel on the line.
